"Shirts Hold The Memories"

This is our story.

Football is the national sport that transcends all generations and walks of life. It is a very special community that provides belonging and togetherness. As massive football fanatics and having both been affected by cancer in people very close to us, we saw an opportunity to do something about it.

We wanted to do something different.

We established 'Football Shirts For Charity'.

Every shirt has a story. The sight of any football shirt always evokes so many special memories and conversations.

Football Shirts For Charity was born from the love of knowing the pride in securing ownership of a pre-loved, historic, retro, recent or vintage football shirt, whilst also contributing to vital charities.

Our chosen charities are, the 'Bobby Moore Fund - Cancer Research' and 'Sebastian's Action Trust' - care homes for terminally ill children. Our charity work partly depends on shirt donations and your engagement in raising money for worthwhile causes.

Football Shirts For Charity also hold several events throughout the year for you to become proactively involved.

Thank you for helping Football Shirts For Charity to make a difference.

Football Shirts For Charity are supporters of:
Bobby Moore Fund - Cancer Research UK and Sebastian's Action Trust.
Read their stories:

Bobby Moore Fund, Cancer Research UK

Our purpose is simple. Together we will beat bowel cancer. Bowel cancer is the second most common cause of cancer death in the UK.

Bobby Moore was just 51 years old when he died. Shortly after his death in 1993, Bobby’s widow Stephanie Moore MBE set up the Bobby Moore Fund as a restricted fund of Cancer Research UK to fund pioneering bowel cancer research.

Since Bobby’s death, the generosity of our supporters has enabled us to raise over £27 million and mortality rates for bowel cancer have fallen by more than 30%.

But sadly the disease still kills 44 people in the UK every day, showing we still have a long way to go to achieve our goal of tackling bowel cancer. That’s equivalent to four football teams.

There are around 45,000 new bowel cancer cases in the UK every year. We know that 54% of these cases are preventable and so we aim to raise awareness of healthy lifestyle factors, such as giving up smoking and eating less red and processed meat.

It's crucial to spot bowel cancer early. The great news is that if bowel cancer is detected at the earliest stage, more than nine out of ten patients will survive the disease for more than five years. As well as raising awareness of signs and symptoms, we aim to increase bowel cancer screening uptake across the UK, while promoting informed consent.

Sebastian's Action Trust

Sebastian’s Action Trust provides emotional, social and practical care for life-limited and life-threatened children and their families. We offer family respite care and are here for families of seriously ill children. Always.

We are a charity developed from the last wish of one very special nine year old boy just twelve days before he died of cancer in 2003. In the last year we have supported more families than ever through respite breaks, outreach and specialist services together with our programme of events that connect our ‘family of families’.

Research tells us there are around 49,000 life-limited or life-threatened young people at any time; a shocking statistic that means there are roughly 1000 per county across the United Kingdom. Whilst clinical care is provided through the overstretched NHS and ancillary services, the emotional, psychological, financial and practical issues that are either directly or indirectly linked to a child’s complex health needs are poorly served through support underpinned by statutory funds.

At the Trust, we passionately believe seriously-ill children should be able to have quality time together with their families, never having to face life alone. Our vision is to ensure lives, however short, are lived to the full.

Sebastian’s Action Trust has been here for the past 16 years ensuring that every one of the children, young people and families we support gets the best possible care. We remain present for families through the good days, the bad days and everything in between, remaining a constant in a world that presents endless challenges and uncertainties.
